Colab Pro and Colab Pro+ are used to purchase additional computing resources for Google Colab.

    • Colab Pro: $99.96 annually per user
    • Colab Pro+: $499.82 annually per user

  4. Additional Details:
    • In order to purchase Colab Pro or Pro+ for an individual, they must have a full Google Enterprise Workspace license.  This typically is available to any full-time faculty and staff member.  Some generic accounts can be used. Submit the named user license request above with the generic account as the Unity ID and VRLM will check and notify you if allowed.
    • Colab Pro provides 100 compute units monthly and access to more powerful GPUs. Unused compute units carry over for up to 90 days.
    • Colab Pro+ provides an additional 400 compute units, for a total of 500 each month and priority access to Google’s most advanced GPUs. Unused compute units carry over for up to 90 days. With Colab Pro+, your actively running notebooks will persist for up to 24 hours, even if you disconnect or close your browser, guaranteeing that your work progresses uninterrupted.
    • Both products allow Integrated Terminal Access. Directly access a terminal in your connected VM, streamlining your workflow and enhancing your control over projects.
    • Both products allow Natural Language Code Generation: Simplify coding with the ability to generate code through natural language inputs, including a built-in chatbot that guides you through complex coding queries with ease.
